User Story for a Software Application's Screen - Work sample

Write a user story for the screen below titled ‘Add audience’. This screen is used to import a list of contacts into the Resulticks platform. Once imported, the contacts can be used for segmentation and targeting of various types of campaigns (Eg. Email / SMS / notifications).

Description:


Add audience is a section in the Create Campaign module. Here the user can import a list of contacts into the Resulticks platform. Once imported, the contacts can be used for segmentation and targeting of various types of campaigns such as Email or SMS or other modes of notifications.

 

Preconditions:


ü  The user should have registered with Resulticks and should have a client list for them.

ü  The user should have the option to create campaigns through DMP (Data Management Platform).

ü  The user should have integrated the DMP with Resulticks.

ü  If a user tries to create a campaign without the integration, they should be taken to the Preferences & Data exchange section prompting them to integrate.

ü  All the necessary audience data must be readily available in proper CSV file format.

 

Operations:

 

i. The first channel on the paid ads section is the DMP

ii. The integrated DMP system’s name should be printed here automatically when entering the page

iii. Then the user can select the mode for importing the audience like through CSV file type

iv. Then the user must give a proper Import Description

v. Click on the Browse button and upload your available audience data excel file

vi. Select the ‘Upload new data’ radio button in the Import Preferences section to overwrite an already existing audience file

vii. Choose the ‘Preserve older data’ radio button in the Import Preferences section to preserve the older records in case of a possible match

viii. Finally clicking the ‘Upload’ button will save the audience data by adding it to the database.
