Any traveller who intends to visit the Wonder of Asia- Sri Lanka, for the following purposes can obtain Sri Lankan ETA upon approval:
I. Tourist ETA (Double entry/ 30 days):
II. Business ETA (Double entry/ 30 days):
III. Transit (48 hours/ Single entry):
At the time of arrival, the applicant might be granted 30 days of Electronic Travel Authorization with double entry facility. Such double entries once granted can be availed within 30 days from the date of initial arrival. The balance period if any of a maximum of 30 days can be granted during the second visit to Sri Lanka. The businessmen availing the business visa must present relevant documents expressing his or her intent of business purpose for visiting the country of Sri Lanka.
- Holidaying, sightseeing
- Visiting relatives and friends
- Undergoing medical treatment including yoga and Ayurveda
- Participating in competitions, sporting events and activities relating to cultural performance.
II. Business ETA (Double entry/ 30 days):
- Taking part in business negotiations and meetings
- Participating in conferences, seminars and workshops
- To take part in short term training programs not exceeding a month
- Participate in music, art and dance events
- Participating in religious events
- Take part in the Symposium.
III. Transit (48 hours/ Single entry):
- Transiting through Sri Lanka.
