There cannot be a second opinion in the fact that electric vehicles are the future of transportation for mankind.

Considering the increasing popularity of electric automobiles, already several top automobile manufacturers have ventured into the electric vehicle space. Here in this article, we are about to see a few of the big names that will be landing foot in this industry very soon…

1. Evolet Hawk:
It was first showcased in 2020 Auto Expo. On launch, it will be the first faired entry-level electric motorcycle to be sold in India. Its clip-on handlebars, digital instrument console and projector headlamps make it look a class apart. The bike is claimed by Evolet to be powerful enough to achieve top speeds up to 125-kilo miles per hour.

2. Emflux Motors Model 1:
This indigenous super-sport motorcycle can even match the performance of the conventional 600 to 750 cc modern age conventional fuelled sportbikes. The company claims that it can clock 100-kilo miles per hour from a standstill in less than 3 seconds. By charging this vehicle once, you can ride for a maximum of 200 kilometres.

3. Tork T6X:
Tork T6X is the 1st production electric motorcycle to be launched in the Indian market. It is pitched as a nature-friendly alternative to the petrol-powered commuter motorcycles. The in-built battery can be charged to 80% in just an hour. The T6X houses an anti-theft mechanism for ensuring the safety and security of the vehicle. It is anticipated to give tough competition for its rivals such as TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, Bajaj Pulsar AS200 and KTM Duke 200.

4. Harley-Davidson LiveWire:
Harley-Davidson finally joins the electric throng by releasing its first-ever electric product ‘the Livewire’. It appears like a V-Rod or Diavel from outside and spearheads Harley’s electric motorcycle portfolio. Traction control, ABS, Bluetooth, Satellite navigation and 7 customizable riding modes make it a must-buy motorcycle among the bike lovers.

5. Revolt RV 400:
This is the 1st ever electric motorcycle of the Revolt Intellicorp firm. The range of features on dock includes a dedicated battery charging and swapping network for supporting range anxiety. The unique selling point is the availability of the Revolt mobile App which displays useful information such as the range, bike’s current location, real-time riding stats etc., for the benefit of the riders. Further, the geofencing feature for theft protection and remote starting facility makes it a much-desired one for sure…
