Computer
for All is an initiative of Team Everest NGO where their volunteers teach
‘Basics of Computer’ to School students on weekdays and weekends. It is a 30
hours training program where Everest's volunteers teach Windows, Microsoft
Word, Excel and Powerpoint to students. All the volunteers who attend this
event are thoroughly trained before starting teaching the students.
The
event will be conducted in various key areas of the city such as Perungudi,
Kelambakkam, Kandigai, Alandur, Nanganallur, Tirusulum, Pallavaram, Triplicane,
Ambattur, MGR Nagar and Santoshpuram. The orientation will occur either on June
23rd or 30th of this year. The teaching classes will commence on July 7th and
then will continue for 10 consecutive weeks thereafter.
The
interested volunteers must be capable of attending the Orientation’ Program and
must be willing to commit 3 hours for at least 7 Saturdays between July 1st to
Sep 15th, 2018. The joining process is quite simple. All you have to do is to
just sign up for ‘Computer for All’ initiative, get trained by attending Team
Everest's Orientation Program, start teaching students and certify them at the
end.
