TRAI slashes ‘Interconnect call rates’ by 57%

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has slashed ‘Interconnect’ call rates by almost 57% from 14 paise to 6 paise. This move comes as a major setback for major telecom operators such as Airtel and Idea who possess huge customer base and a blessing in disguise for new players such as Tata Docomo and Jio!
