ADVANTAGES:
- Electric scooters are extremely eco-friendly since they do not emit any harmful pollutant like carbon-di-oxide into the atmosphere
- Electric vehicles operate without producing much of noise. Hence they are essential to reduce the atmospheric noise pollution levels
- Electric cars and bikes are light in weight and therfore could be handled pretty easily
- In general, electric automobiles look modern, trendy, stylish and attractive
- They are definitely the vehicles of the future, since all the petroleum by-products that we are using right now, will get exhausted very soon
DISADVANTAGES:
- Highly expensive fueling infrastructure is required to recharge the electric vehicles. Even such charging stations are not well spread across the nation
- The maintenance expenses and replacement costs of the parts are too high for electric automobiles compared to their conventional counterparts
- Electric scooters, cars and bikes are very expensive as of now in comparison with the other petrol/diesel based automobiles
- Electric motorbikes are produced in fewer quantities and hence they are not readily available in the market all the time
- Electric vehicles are suited for only short distance trips as they are not reliable enough for tough and highly challenging situations
