Synopsis:
Sakthi calls her lover Shiva and asks him to come to her house and cool down the tension between both of their families. But Shiva disregards her and insults her over the phone. Shiva advises Sundar to maintain status and not go too easy with the family of the girl he wishes to marry. Meanwhile, Shiva's uncle asks him whether he was going to the office. Shiva says to his mom that he is going to visit Meenakshi's house to speak with her parents. But Shiva's mom doesn't like it. Shiva's uncle says that his mother is unhappy with Godavari's behavior. He adds that Shiva and his brother doesn't give the due respect to his mother as given by Godavari to her mother.
Shiva says that he has respect for his mother and that is the reason why he consults his mother for each and everything. Shiva's uncle interferes and states that if Shiva really has respect for his mother he should make Godavari and her mother apologize to her for slapping her before. Shiva asks him to keep quiet. But his uncle starts triggering Shiva's mother. So Shiva promises his mother that he will make Sakthi and Godavari apologize to her before Sundar's marriage.
Sundar requests Shiva not to ask Godavari's family to apologize to his mother. But Shiva refuses to heed to his words. Frustrated Sundar beats up his uncle badly.
Shiva asks Anu to call her mother. He says that he has not come to threaten anyone and he has come only to speak about Sundar-Meenakshi's marriage. Shiva defends his mother's previous act at the hospital and accuses Godavari's daughter and husband for laying hands on them. He further adds that his mother has no objection regarding Sundar-Meenakshi's marriage and for that Godavari and Sakthi must apologize to his mother.
Anu asks Sundar to meet Meenakshi at the temple. When Sundar meets her, Meenakshi complaints about the deeds of his mother and brother to Sundar. She says she is willing to give up their love for the sake of the prestige of his mother. She says to Sundar that his mother is trying to degrade the respect of their family using their love as a weapon. But Sundar says that Sakthi should not have slapped his mother and hence both Sakthi and Godavari must apologize to his mother for the sake of their marriage.
